The Kazakh team turned out to be the best team in Group C and overshadowed Na`Vi Junior, ALTERNATE aTTaX and the Copenhagen Flames. K23 was the favorite in the group competition, but will they be able to succeed in the playoffs?
The current roster of the K23 organisation has been competing on the scene since June this year when Aidos “kadeo” Khairzhan was accepted. For the next two months they played under the name Syman Gaming, and the organisation rebranded to the brand we know today.
The most experienced member of K23 is certainly Rustem “mou” Telepov, who won the PGL Major Krakow 2017 tournament under the Gambit brand. The twenty-nine-year-old has very young players by his side – the average age of the squad is 22 years. Telepova’s experience makes him one of the most valuable players of the team that has reached a rating of 1.10 over the last 6 months. The only member that has done better during this period is David “n0rb3r7” Danielyan.
K23 took two fairly straightforward wins in the group stage of the European Development Championship, first against the Copenhagen Flames and then against the ALTERNATE aTTaX. In both matches Danielyan, who has an impressive rating of 1.27 in this tournament, looked great.
The Kazakhs will face the Bulgarian team SKADE in the first game in the EDC playoffs. This duel will start on Friday, December 18 at 10:00 CET.
