The teams taking part in the first season of EDC were divided into four groups. The first matches will start on December 7.

Each group of the European Development Championship tournament includes four teams that will be fighting for promotion to the play-offs on December 7-15. Each group has two days of games starting at 10.00.

As mentioned in the previous announcement, the group stage will be played according to the GSL system. Opening matches will be best-of-one, and all subsequent matches will be fought for two maps won. The top eight teams, two from each group, advance to the playoffs with a single-elimination bracket.

Fourteen of the above teams were invited to play in cooperation with the tournament’s partners, i.e. RuHub, Cyberwolves and Esport1. The list of participants was finalized by two teams from the qualification process under the name Wildcard, i.e. Natus Vincere Junior and BEZ ZP (ex-Cyber ​​Legacy).
