Eden Esports and Fantasyexpo are pleased to announce the second season of the European Development Championship series. $ 30,000 is once again in the prize pool. 

During the inaugural competition, we could see many unexpected results, which made the first season of the European Development Championship provide a lot of excitement. The tournament was warmly welcomed by the Counter-Strike community. During the four weeks of the inaugural edition, over 1,200,000 unique viewers appeared on the EDC broadcasts and the partners associated with the tournament, who viewed the channels almost 2,500,000 times. As organizers, we would like to thank all CS:GO fans who visited our streams. 

The main event of the second season is scheduled to start on February 5, but the qualifying process will take place earlier. The European Development Championship Wildcard will take place between the 21st and 24th of January, where we will again see sixteen teams competing for two places in the main phase. The full schedule of the event is as follows:

  • January 21-24 – Wildcard
  • February 5-13 – Main Championship: Group Stage 
  • February 22-25 – Main Championship: Play-off 

It is worth recalling that in the first season the best team turned out to be K23, who defeated Movistar Riders in the final duel. A great story was written by NAVI Junior players, who first took part in the main event in the Wildcard stage and then made it all the way to the semi-finals. These young players proved the importance of the games aimed at developing players. 

The main partner of EDC is the GamingMalta foundation. As a result of this cooperation, the second edition of the Malta National League will take place on January 16-17, which the winner will get the slot in the EDC Wildcard. In addition, the games are supported by partners: Parimatch, Hellcase and GRID.
