Second day of the competition has just ended, which means we know all of the quarter-finalists. Two best teams out of all Wildcard’s participants will move to the main event with a 30.000$ prize pool.
First day brought us a lot of close match-ups and emotions. We had four best of three series played that day, and 3 of them went all the way to the third, decisive map. Teams that managed to come out on top of their matches are GROND, Alternate Attax, 1 win and Skade. It is worth mentioning that the Russian team 1win started their journey in the open qualifiers and defeated every single team that they’ve faced there. The same story can be told about team BLINK which has won open qualifiers #2, as well as their first game in the Wildcards, which was the first game to be played on the second day. In other games, the favorites did not disappoint, because Double Poney and NAVI juniors won their matches in a very convincing way. The closet game was a match between Tricked and Beznadejdi. Dmitry
“rAge“Bolotov was left alone in a 1v2 clutch situation when they were leading on the last map 15:14 and he managed to win it and proceed to the next phase with his team, and team Tricked had to accept the loss.
The quarterfinals pairs that will all be played on 27.03 look as follows:
- 10:00 CET – GROND vs ALTERNATE aTTaX(bo3)
- 13:00 CET – 1win vs SKADE (bo3)
- 16:00 CET – BLINK vs DBL Poney (bo3)
- 19:00 CET – beznadejdi vs NAVI Junior (bo3)
The winners will proceed to the semifinals, where they are going to play their last games in the Wildcard. Both finalists are moving straight to the main event.
