All four of the quarter-finals are now over, which means that there are only 4 teams left competing. Sangal, Entropiq, CPH Flames and DLBPoney proceeded to this stage and will battle in the semifinals on June 26th.
First of the quarter-finals between HYENAS and team Sangal unfortunately had to be forfeited due to internal problems of the Danish team. Second of the games was a match between the highest ranked team in the entire tournament – Entropiq which is currently placed at the 15th position in the HLTV ranking, and Trident with Ladislav ‘GuardiaN’ Kovács standing in. Team Entropiq managed to win the series with a 2-0 result, and made it to the semifinal in a very convincing way. In the third match, we’ve seen Copenhagen Flames facing Bulgarian team Fiend. The match was incredibly close, with CPH Flames closing the series with a 2-0 victory. First of the maps went all the way to the overtime and ended 25:22, while the second one was pretty close as well with Fiend being defeated 13-16. Last of the quarter-finals was a match between DBL Poney and Akuma. Despite losing the first map, team representing France managed to came back to the series and win next 2 maps, proceeding to the next phase.
