First and second quarter-finals are over. Nemiga after a very close game against forZe, and Movistar Riders which dominated Budapest Five, proceed to the next phase.

First game of the day was a match between Nemiga representing Belarus, and Russian team forZe. It was a game between the 25th and 31st team in the world according to the HLTV ranking, and until the very end we didn’t know who was going to win. First map ended with a 16:14 victory by Nemiga. On the second one, they managed to come back from a 2:8 score and win it in overtime. The MVP title went to Igor ‘lollipop21k’ Solodkov, who won FPL Circuit in January, where he competed against the best players and earned 4500$ prize for the victory.

Second quarter-final was a complete domination by Movistar Riders. Their opponents, Budapest Five have won only 11 rounds in the entire best of three series, and got eliminated from the tournament. It is also worth mentioning, that the team representing Spanish organization managed to go all the way to the grand final in the last season of the European Development Championship, where they lost to team K23. This time, it seems like with Owen ‘smooya’ Butterfield on board, they are aiming to win the whole thing. He have been representing team BIG for almost 2 years, and today he proved that he can still compete on the highest level and earned the MVP title.

The games will be back on February 23. Sinners will face HellRaisers, and Sprout will fight against sAw. First game starts at 12:00 CET, and the games will be broadcasted on the official Eden Esport’s twitch channel.
