Half of the group stage is now over, which means we know the fourth team that will compete in the play-offs. SKADE won both elimination and decider matches today and proceeded to the next phase.
Bulgarian roster representing SKADE is currently placed at the 25th position in the HLTV ranking. They are the EDC Season 3 champions and are definitely aiming to get the title back. After losing the opening match to INFINITE, they were forced to face bankaPepsi in the elimination. They managed to win it in a pretty convincing way, and moved further to face Honoris. The match was very close, and SKADE was down 1-8 on the last map. Eventually, after an overtime they secured a victory and qualified to the quarter-finals.
It is worth mentioning that Denislav ‘dennyslaw’ Dimitrov has scored 87 frags in those 3 maps, getting eliminated only 57 times (KD +30) for what he got deserved MVP title. SKADE did not manage to get out of groups in the last season, but this time they proved that they belong in the play-offs and will compete again on September 2nd. Group C matches will kick off on August 25th.
