After the first day of competition in the group B, Sprout turned out to be the best, defeating Young Ninjas and Team Spirit Academy.
Sprout is a German organization which was founded and started its activity in 2017. Two of the players from the current roster, Marko “kressy” Đorđević and Fritz “slaxz” Dietrich joined the team at the beginning of 2021, and the rest have been there much longer. They are currently placed at 24th position in the HLTV ranking, and in their peak they managed to get 16th position. They won European Development Championship season 2 and are now aiming to defend the title.
In their opening match in the European Development Championship group stage, Sprout managed to pick up a victory over Young Ninjas – Ninjas in Pyjamas academy, despite losing 0-7 at one point. They came back to the game, and then secured their playoff spot by winning 2-0 against Team Spirit Academy, which is a new and promising team on the scene.
In today’s games all of the players played incredibly well, but both MVP titles went to Josef ‘faveN’ Baumann who was just phenomenal today. Quarterfinals are now ahead of them, and the start of this phase is scheduled for April 29th.
