Sixteen teams will take part in the European Development Championship Wildcard. The top two will qualify for the main EDC event with a prize pool of $30,000.

European Development Championship Wildcard will be held on November 27th-29 and will feature sixteen teams. Participants are divided into two single-elimination brackets according to their respective seeds. One team of each will advance to the main tournament. All matches will be best-of-three.

Firstly, eleven teams have been invited to the European Development Championship Wildcard. It is worth mentioning that the partners of the event gain rights to slots in the main event and Wildcard by purchasing broadcasting rights. Also, according to partners’ preferences, they can invite selected teams or conduct a qualifying tournament – such as the Malta National League, which took place last weekend. This solution is to support local broadcasts in respective regions, thanks to viewers who want to follow representatives of their country.

Additionally, in European Development Championship Wildcard, the four remaining places were taken by teams selected through open qualifiers. The list of participants and the first match pairs are as follows:

First ladder:

  • 10:00 – Giants vs Na`Vi Junior
  • 10:00 – Project X vs x-kom AGO
  • 13:00 – SG.pro vs lilmix
  • 13:00 – FATE vs Marlian eSports

All matches will be broadcast in English, simultaneously on two channels: twitch.tv/edenesports and twitch.tv/edenesports_b. The broadcast will start at 10:00 AM (CET) on November 27th and 28th and promotion matches will take place on Sunday at 1:00 PM (CET) and 4:00 PM (CET).
