Competition in the group A of the European Development Championship season 3 is now over. Anonymo Esports joins Endpoint on the playoff’s participants list.
Anonymo is a Polish organization that has only been announced a few months ago, at the beginning of 2021. They are currently placed at the 46th position in the HLTV’s ranking, which places them at a third position in their country. Their most famous player is without a doubt Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski, who has represented Virtus Pro’s previous roster and was at that time considered as one of the best players in the entire world. In 2018 he joined mousesports, but has represented them for only a few months before he came back to the polish Virtus Pro. Now, together with younger and less experienced players they are trying to prove that they can compete on the highest level.
The first day of the European Development Championship did not go as planned for Anonymo. They lost their opening match 12-16 against Russian Trident, and had to face 100PG in the elimination match. They managed to pick up a 2-0 victory, and then took revenge on Trident, defeating them in the decider match. Paweł ‘innocent’ Mocek scored 53 eliminations in just 2 maps in their final game and got the MVP title, proceeding to the playoff stage with his team. Their opponent as well as the rest of the bracket will be known after the group stage is over. Quarter-finals start on April 29th.
