It is time to kick off with the EDC S5 quarter-finals. There are only 8 teams left in the competition and the final phase of the tournament is just about to start. First round match-ups look as follows:
- LDLC vs 1win
- Infinite vs K23
- DBLPoney vs SKADE
- Fiend vs Lyngby Vikings
First two matches will both be played on 02.09 at 12:00 CEST and 15:00 CEST. The rest will be held the day after, and the grand final is scheduled for September 5th. First match will be a battle where we are goin to watch French roster of LDLC, which secured the 1st spot in the group A where they competed against Young Ninjas, M1EDEN and Lyngby Vykings. Their opponent 1win is a Russian team that won the decider game in last of the groups – group D. During the second quarter-final we are going to watch team Infinite – which started their journey in a Wildcard tournament and surprised everyone securing the first place in group B, competing against K23 which is the season 1 champion. Third of the matchups will be a great game to watch, since it is DBLPoney which was placed at the 2nd place in the season 4 against SKADE which is season 3 champion. Last of the matches, Fiend vs Lyngby Vikings will be played on 03.09 at 15:00 CEST and will be a battle between group D 1st place and group A second place – Lyngby Vikings which has forfeited their opening match but despite that they made it out of groups.
